Royal Mail Parcel Sorters

We are currently recruiting for Parcel Sorters for one of the UKs most recognised and loved postal services at their depots in Sighthill and Royal Highland Centre.

Pay rates:

£11.40 per hour 6am – 10pm (Monday – Saturday)

£13.70 per hour 10pm – 6am (Monday – Saturday)

£13.70 per hour Sunday dayshift


Inductions to take place on 15th, 22nd and 27th November, with work starting immediately following until at least the 23rd December 2021. The following shift patterns are available:

Dayshift 6am – 2pm Monday – Saturday

Backshift 2pm – 10pm Monday – Friday

Nightshift 10pm – 6am Monday – Saturday

Nightshift 10pm – 6am Monday – Friday & Sunday

Weekend 8am – 8pm Saturday and Sunday

In the mail centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. You could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. It is a fast-paced environment and you’ll be working to efficient methods to meet our business performance targets. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift, and you’ll be a valuable part of making that happen. As a Parcel Sorter you will need to be flexible and adaptable, changing from one role to another to move the work quickly along the processing chain.

There is some additional vetting information to provide to be placed into this role, this can all be input online however you will need the following documents to be considered for this position:

Proof of right to work (passport or birth certificate)

Proof of your National Insurance Number

Proof of address (within the last 3 months)

You also much be able to provide 5-year work and address history, alongside passing a basic DBS check.
