We have many Volunteer Roles for you to get involved with. We call these Ambassador roles. Each role makes a real difference to the Student experience whilst at College. These roles assist the Student Association with their priorities in order to support Students. If you are interested in any of these roles please contact the Student Association and they can help and support you with the application processes. You can contact a member of our Student Association directly by popping into the Student Association Office at the rear of the library, contacting us on social media through facebook or twitter, call our office on 01506 427701 or email us: StudentAssociation@west-lothian.ac.uk
The Student Association are looking for a number of enthusiastic, reliable and creative Students to volunteer as Ambassadors.
So, what will be expected of you?
As an Ambassador you will work directly with our student presidents and executive officers to continue to improve the student college experience and amplify the student voice. There are a number of roles and projects that you can get involved in:
Social Media Ambassadors
- Creating content to promote the student association
- Covering activities and events.
- Editing and creation of images, videos and posters
- Supporting student communication
- Peer support
- Student Voice
Club Leader Ambassadors
- Organising clubs that students are interested in
- Leading activities
- Growing engagement
- Peer support
- Student Voice
Event Ambassadors
- Create, plan and organise
- Promotion and information
- Attendance and stall management
- Set up/Clean up
- Peer support
- Student Voice
How much time is expected of Ambassadors?
We understand that being a student can be very demanding, so we have made the roles flexible for time commitment. We would suggest a minimum of an hour a week.
What do you get in return?
For your contribution you will receive a £20 voucher twice a year, volunteer certificate and free additional training opportunities.
