PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Discuss the processing requirements of individual datasets with supervisor and project teams

Management of time to prioritise processing tasks, in order to meet project requirements and deadlines

Assess the quality of acquired raw data and inform supervisor if data is not of the required standard

Review survey logs compiled by data acquisition crews offshore, to assist the processing and QC workflow

Process acquired data sets using Company-approved project procedure-defined software, following project procedure-defined processing sequence or instruction from supervisor

Record a comprehensive log of dataset processing steps

QC dataset at each stage of the processing sequence to ensure data integrity

Discuss requirements and final deliverables with supervisor on a regular basis to ensure processing sequence is fit for purpose

Produce deliverables as per project requirements (data listings, charts, digital terrain models etc.)

Adhere to Company standards in order to maintain quality

Perform other duties or tasks as assigned

As part of the UTEC Apprenticeship program attend college classes/training and pass all required college curriculum modules within set timeframe.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively participate in the Company’s Quality and HSE Systems and Procedures.

Understand and comply with UTEC PPE requirements, policies and procedures.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Candidate Skills - Desirable Education/Experience

Further education or relevant vocational experience in one or more of the following fields advantageous but NOT essential:

Geomatics

Topographical Science

Hydrography

Computer Sciences

Programming

CAD

Candidate Skills - Essential Education/Experience

School/Further Education qualifications and/or vocational experience with a background in the following fields are essential:

Mathematics/mathematics-related subjects

Candidate Skills - General

In general, candidates should be prepared to demonstrate, through their qualifications or experience, a strong mathematics/mathematical problem-solving background, an analytical approach to work and an excellent eye for detail, these being key elements of successfully undertaking the role

Personal Development

Undertake agreed training and development to provide a framework of knowledge and skills required to perform effectively in UTEC

Actively participate in UTEC Competency scheme

Participate in performance appraisal with Line Manager, identifying and agreeing personal development and action plans

REQUISITE SKILLS

Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision

Ability to work both independently and within teams

Must possess mathematical problem-solving qualities

Experience in Industry Standard Processing Packages advantageous but NOT essential

Experience in AutoCAD advantageous but NOT essential
