The Answer Project
Provides services for older people which:
- Encourages clients to maintain previous skills and interests
- Offer a stimulating programme of activities
- Promotes the rights of each individual to have a feeling of self-worth and to be treated with respect and dignity
The Answer project provides support for older people to:
- Enable clients to maintain links within their own communities
- Enable them to continue living independently in their own homes as long as possible
- Provide additional support to delay or prevent the need for admission into long-term care
Anyone using the services of Answer has the right to:
- Be valued as an individual
- Be treated with dignity and respect at all times
- The same right of privacy as everyone else
- Access a range of service tailored to meet their individual needs
- Information and support which enables them to remain independent for as long as possible
- Be supported to make informed choices
- Realise their full potential in a safe supportive enviornment
- Full participation with the support of an advocate (if needed) in decision making about their on going and continued involvement in the Answer Project
The Answer Project will:
- Always involve the older person and their carer in any decision making
- Refer people to and work with other agencies when and where appropriate
We are looking for committed volunteer drivers. Mileage paid @ 45pence per mile. We are also currently seeking to recruit volunteer carers.
